Enjoy Area Activities: On site, we have a swimming area, including a water tramp (if conditions allow).  We also have a wonderful play area for children, complete with swings and slide.  We also have shuffleboard, a basketball court and horse shoe pit.

Mille Lacs Lake is not only a world renown fishery, it is also the perfect lake to sail, wind surf (both summer & winter), hot air balloon, snowmobile, canoe, enjoy winter sports such as broom ball, softball & golf – all on ice.  Many of the snowmobile trails wind through beautiful state land and make great walking trails in the summer & fall.

We also have miles and miles of scenic roadways between many small towns (each quaint in its own way) for you old car buffs.  We have a high concentration of sugar maples in the area, which means you will find some of the most vibrant fall colors in the state.  You’re welcome to join us each spring as we sap these same trees and eventually make our own maple syrup!  We are located in the heart of Minnesota’s vacation land.

We are centrally located between the Twin Cities, Brainerd & Duluth.  We are only minutes away from excellent hunting land, state parks, vast snowmobile trails, numerous golf courses, casinos, Brainerd International Raceway, Mille Lacs Indian Museum and the best small shop, craft & antique shopping opportunities!

Each year on the weekend following the Fourth of July, we sponsor the Annual Red Door Resort & Motel Walleye Fishing Tournament.  We’ve been doing this for several years.  Generally, we have a good turn out and fishing is great!  It is open to anyone wanting to enter.  The entry fee is $300.00 per boat and if we get 100 boats we guarantee first place to pay $10,000.00, second - $5,000.00 and third - $2,500.  That’s about a 90% payback -  not bad for an enjoyable weekend of fishing!
